Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat together brown sugar, granulated sugar, and softened butter until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract to the sugar-butter mixture, beating until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
